Hey Cindy! Glad to hear that your hubs drinks juice and smoothies, and eats his veggies! We're getting there in this house. We eat completely opposite... I love seafood and veggies (both of which he doesn't care for). :) But you know what they say about opposites attracting!

I love hearing that you guys are only doing meat once a week! Awesome! After our last grocery trip together, I sent MSP to the meat dept to pick out 3 packs of chicken, a ground turkey and a ground beef. Since he eats it, I wanted him to pick it. I like to get him organic free range stuff but since it's his money being spent on it I thought he should decide since we were stocking up. He did pick organic (yay!) but he was amazed that those 5 packs cost him $45. To which I said "and you thought my veggies were pricey!" :)

WAY TO GO for sneaking in some veg's...
MY hubs has been a tad resistant, not to veggies so much but to RAW and juices/smoothies.

it's been about a year now and he now happily drinks a juice or a green smoothie and he tries almost every dish I throw at him. He grills some sort of meat maybe once every other week and that's it for meat dishes at our house.

I actually feel, aside from HIS intake of veg's...that it's a perfect balance.

I don't have to hide veg's for my kids happily though.
(I think it just depends on the kid/husband)
hahaha

nice job chica
OH and did I tell you I use celery now in our green smoothie base and hubs LOVES that (and me too) the salty celery taste is a nice balance with the sweetness of the bananas/fruit!

SNOW?
GAW
better hurry on your scarf/beanie...getting there!
