Back to It

Hi friends!

Holy speedy days, Batman!  The last week flew by in a blink while I was out of town!  This time it was a family visit rather than a work trip.  I went home to Ohio and while I was there I got to meet my new niece (who is actually already a year-and-a-half old!), have a little slumber party with my 4-year-old niece (so much fun!), celebrate my grandma’s 89th birthday, see my cousin’s twin girls, and just do a ton of catching up with everyone in general.  The last time I’d been back for a visit was two years ago (when FitFeat was just getting going).  And I spent a large chunk of time blogging during that RV trip with my mom and grandma, which looking back I sometimes feel that I spent TOO much time on my computer and not enough time visiting with my family.  So this time around, I took my laptop but it didn’t even get opened once – I was just too busy the whole time.  I wanted to soak up every second I had with everyone while I was there. And I hardly even took any pictures!

It was a wonderful time and I don’t think my mom and I could have squeezed in any more chat time if we’d tried.  We talked and talked and talked… It was great!

But like any travel, it was nice to get home and sleep in my own bed.  I missed Cory, and the dogs too.  (Give it a few days and I’ll be complaining that my dogs are driving me nuts again!)  :)

How about you?  When you travel, do you hit a certain number of days and then want to come back home?  Or do you wish your trips had more days away?

Have a FABULOUS day, blog buds!

– Shari B. =)
