Hi blog buds!
How is your week going? I hope it’s off to a great start!
I mentioned a while back that we were embarking on another home remodel project, ripping all the carpet off of our stairs in order to make them painted and pretty. Well, until the carpet was off we really didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into. (That’s the fun of home renovations though right?) The treads were in worse condition than we had anticipated, so we’ve certainly had our hands full. Cory and I have combined over 50 hours logged on it since we started, and we are only done with the sanding and the priming. Next, we tape off all 101 spindles, the treads/risers and the newel posts/railing in order to get the paint started. It’ll be so beautiful when it’s done, but it’s definitely a lot of hours to get to the end result, outside of our regular work. My ‘free time’ outside of personal cheffing and personal training has gone toward this home project – hence the quiet days on the FitFeat online presence of blog, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
But we had to put the project on hold for a previously scheduled interruption.
For a little change of scenery, I got to do this last night:
So that today instead of cheffing, sanding or painting, I could do this:
Last time I was on this trip in 2010 I blogged about it the entire time. So I won’t bore you by doing it again. Unless of course I get to do something super cool worth sharing!
Have a wonderful week!
